In Order to Live as an Immortal, I changed a martial artist world to a xianxia world

Chapter 14 - "I Am the Forefather Dragon of Great Qin!"

Chapter 14: “I Am the Forefather Dragon of Great Qin!”

In the Void.

“Let’s see, Ying Zheng,” Bai Chen murmured, watching the emperor intently, “whether you are worthy of the title Forefather Dragon.”

Before his transmigration, Bai Chen had revered Ying Zheng.

As the first emperor of China, Ying Zheng’s accomplishments were legendary:

Unifying the warring states into one cohesive empire.
Establishing a centralized government, and abolishing feudal systems in favor of prefectures.
Standardizing script, currency, and measurements, ensuring a unified national identity.

Even now, in this fusion world of wuxia and fantasy, Ying Zheng remained an unparalleled figure.

It was not just for the massive amounts of Creation Force that Bai Chen had invested so much in the Qin emperor.

Beneath the pragmatic calculus lay admiration—a desire to witness how far this once-mortal legend could ascend.

Though Bai Chen could rig the trials in Ying Zheng’s favor, he sincerely hoped the emperor could pass the test through his own resolve.

At the Pit.

The air was heavy with anticipation as Ying Zheng strode toward the altar.

Behind him, his ministers and soldiers watched with bated breath.

They had all failed the trial. None had dared to confront their inner demons head-on.

But Ying Zheng was different. He was the emperor—the Son of Heaven.

If anyone could pass this test and lead Great Qin into a brighter future, it was him.

Inside the Trial.

In the blink of an eye, Ying Zheng found himself within a familiar scene—the interior of his royal carriage.

But what shocked him was the sight of another figure slumped within the carriage—an older version of himself, frail and near death.

Moments later, the elderly Ying Zheng passed away, leaving a chilling silence in the carriage.

“So pitiful,” the emperor muttered, his expression hardening.

I am Ying Zheng, the Forefather Dragon, the ruler of Great Qin.

Such a fate is unworthy of me. My life, my empire, would not end in such despair.

Ying Zheng’s resolve did not falter.

“Is this the extent of the test?” he scoffed. “If so, it’s far too simplistic.”

Though the sight of his death was jarring, the emperor remained confident.

He had already rewritten his destiny by obtaining the Heavenly Essence Pill. He would continue to shape his future with the Creation Immortal Codex.

The vision Intensified. The scene began to shift rapidly, and Ying Zheng witnessed a series of events that chilled him to the core:

Zhao Gao and Li Si conspired to conceal his death.
His rightful heir, Fusu, was falsely condemned and executed.
Hu Hai, his unfit son, ascended the throne and began a reign of terror.
Qin fell into chaos, with rebellions breaking out across the land.

The climax of the vision was the fall of Xianyang, with the once-mighty Qin reduced to ruins.

“Qin, gone in two generations,” Ying Zheng murmured, his fists clenched.

The collapse of the empire he had poured his life into was a bitter pill to swallow.

But rather than succumbing to despair, Ying Zheng’s resolve hardened.

He opened his eyes, and an aura of unparalleled majesty radiated from him.

“I am the Forefather Dragon!” Ying Zheng declared.

“The fall of Great Qin is but an illusion—a trick of the mind!”

His words thundered with conviction:

“I am Ying Zheng, the ruler who destroyed Han, Wei, Zhao, Chu, Yan, and Qi.”

“I unified the lands under one script, one currency, one measure, and one law.”

“Without me, this continent would remain fragmented and chaotic!”

“I am the Forefather Dragon of Great Qin!”

“My ministers are mere servants, bound to my will. Rebellion? Only the weak-willed allow such insurrections to occur.”

“Great Qin will not merely endure—it will ascend to the heavens as the first Immortal Dynasty!”

As Ying Zheng’s declaration echoed, the illusory scenes around him began to crack and crumble.

A loud shatter resounded, and Ying Zheng found himself atop the altar, the trial behind him.

The silence was deafening as the ministers and soldiers below realized what had happened.

The emperor had passed the trial—something none of them had managed to do.

In the Void.

“Well done, Ying Zheng,” Bai Chen muttered, a rare smile gracing his lips.

In his eyes, the emperor had proven his worth.

The path to creating an immortal dynasty, to transforming Qin into the Immortal Qin Empire, had only just begun.
